3D Laser scanning location & Set backgrounds

Digital can provide 3D digital background and location scanning for film and video games. Creating realistic 3d backdrops can be a costly process. Laser scanning very quickly creates a dimensionally accurate point cloud, allowing models to be generated much faster and more accurately allowing for a richer end user experience.

For CG set extensions then just a low resolution point cloud can provide more than enough data. Alternatively for detailed or ornate building modelling, high resolution scans can be meshed and textured with HDRI photography for photo realistic backdrops.
