3D INSPECTION SERVICES

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION

Laser scanning is becoming the  preferred method for verifying fabrication of large high value assets. From manifolds to piping laser scanning can capture complex surfaces and geometry quickly and extremely accurately.

Once an item is scanned all critical dims can be checked against the fabrication tolerances. By inspecting the finished article in 3D it is easy to measure in 3 dimensions across an object no matter where the datum is calculated from. Trying to accurately take precise measurements in 3d is simply not possible using a tape and gauge.  Laser scanning makes it easy to identify deviations in angle or even damaged caused. It then provides a permanent 3d record that can't be disputed.

TYPICAL EQUIPMENT INSPECTED:

  • Pipe Spools, Valves & Fabricated Assemblies
  • Packaged Equipment such as Pump Skids
  • Christmas trees and associated equipment

DAMAGE & INSURANCE CLAIMS

W e have utilised 3d laser scanning in a number of cases to identify damage or deformation across fabricated surfaces at levels of detail not possible with traditional methods. This accuracy combined with the visual 3d nature of the results in the form of coloured deviation charts make it ideally suited for presenting in insurance claims.
