Originally formed in 1989 by Peter Bennett F.Inst Ces and based in Newcastle Upon Tyne the company offers a complete Surveying Service with an emphasis on quality and a reliable efficient turn around from instruction to completion.

Our survey teams are qualified professionals, each field team is equipped with mobile phones, palm top and lap top computers, enabling them to send survey data back to our office before they leave site.
Our survey teams are available to any location and can respond very quickly to any urgent requirement. We are a “solutions” company often offering bespoke applications to solve your data capture requirements.

Peter Bennett

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Peter Bennett began his career in surveying over 36 years ago as a mining surveyor for Brown & Associates specialising in survey and engineering work in large scale triangulation, tachometric and volumetric surveys.

Over the years he worked for numerous consultants and clients on technical projects across Europe. These included setting out the primary control for concrete structures on the Flotta Oil terminal in Orkney, working on the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal on the Shetland Isles. Dimensional Control projects for Steel rigs in Almeria Spain, and working as chief surveyor on the prestigious San Roque Golf Club in Cadiz Spain.

After many years as a successful freelance surveyor, In 1987 Peter decided to set up his own Land Surveying company and founded Digital Surveys Ltd. Over the next 15 years he grew the company gaining blue chip clients such as Northumbrian Water, Montgomery Watson, Mott Mcdonald, Sanderson Weatherall, King Sturge, Hanro Ltd, Cameron Hall Developments and many others.

In January 2003 Peter sold Digital Surveys to IETG a Leeds based multi-disciplinary support services company operating within the water and waste water industries across the UK and member of the Peter House PLC. Peter was retained as the Operations Director of the North East Office.

However in 2005 Peter lead a successful buy back of the business from IETG. Since then Peter has been working hands on driving the business forward, investing in the latest survey and computer based equipment and striving to deliver the highest technical standards.
