Digital Surveys have recently 3d laser scanned and modelled a large mill for an English Heritage metric laser survey
Built in 1832 Brierfield is a large cotton mill located in the district of Lancashire. The mill was purchased in 2012 by the Pendle Council and is about to be transformed in a huge regeneration project. As part of this and to capture the historic building a 3d laser survey to English heritage metric survey specification was carried out by Digital Surveys.
Using both a P20 and Focus laser scanner the entire site was digitally documented in high resolution. Once scanned the whole site was transformed in to an as built building information model.
